Being honest is one of the ways that will help children to develop a sense of integrity knowing right from wrong.

How might children demonstrate honesty?

Here are some examples of how children might demonstrate honesty through their actions, speech and behaviour:

  • Speaking the truth about what happened in a conflict

  • Returning things to their rightful owners

  • Admitting their own mistakes
